Contact Yusr immediately
Reach us by phone or email as soon as possible after the passing. We will open a case and begin coordination right away.

Yusr will request a copy of the death certificate to verify eligibility and begin processing the claim.

Provide us the funeral home's name and contact. Yusr will contact them directly to confirm the invoice and arrange payment.
Yusr handles the rest
We calculate the contribution from each eligible member, process the charges, and pay the funeral home directly. The family receives confirmation once payment is sent.

Check the price vs. the cap
Yusr covers up to $12,000 CAD per event. If a provider's total cost is under $12,000, Yusr covers it in full. Any amount above $12,000 is the family's responsibility.
Contact the funeral home
Call or visit the provider's website to confirm availability and current pricing - listed prices may have changed. Ask them to work directly with Yusr.
Give Yusr their details
Once you've selected a funeral home, share their name and contact with Yusr. We'll reach out to them directly to confirm the invoice and arrange payment.
Yusr covers up to $12,000 CAD per event
Providers marked Fully covered are within the cap. For providers above $12,000, Yusr pays the first $12,000 and the family is responsible for the remainder. All prices listed are approximate - confirm directly with the provider.

Eligibility is verified first
Yusr confirms that the deceased was an active, eligible member in good standing before any distribution is processed.
Contribution notifications
All contributing members receive an email notification with the event details and the amount they will be charged.
Coverage cap applies
If the funeral cost exceeds $12,000 CAD, Yusr covers up to $12,000 only. The family is responsible for any amount above the cap.
Payment goes to the funeral home
Yusr never transfers funds to the family directly. Payment is always sent to the funeral home to protect all parties.
