The Process
Step 1: Register as a Member
Pay a one-time registration fee (see pricing on our homepage) to become a Yusr member. Once paid, we will verify your application and ID, then officially add you to our member list.
Step 2: A Janazah Occurs
When a member passes away, we immediately begin the process of providing full funeral financial aid. Yusr will cover the complete cost of the funeral — up to $12,000 — directly to the funeral service provider.
To initiate this support, the family must notify us by email and submit a copy of the death certificate, the burial location, and the name of the funeral service provider. We handle the rest, so the family can focus on grieving, not expenses.
Step 3: Together, We Carry the Burden
There are no monthly fees at Yusr. Instead, we follow a pay-per-janazah model rooted in fairness and community.
When a member of Yusr passes away, we immediately begin the process of supporting their family. This includes covering the full cost of the funeral — up to $12,000 — so the family can grieve without financial stress.
To fund that support, every active member contributes a small, one-time amount, automatically charged to the card on file. That amount is:

Up to $40 for Single members

Up to $60 for Couples (1.5x rate)

Up to $80 for Families (2x rate)
The cost is shared equally across all members, making it light and manageable for everyone, while ensuring no one is left behind in their time of need.
